Some of you have been asking about how much the reunion will cost and how and when to make payment. The final amount will be determined on or around the time of the reunion. We will not be collecting payment from anyone before the reunion. If you wish, you may bring a check with you to the reunion or mail it later.

To give you an idea of what costs you may expect and to help you plan your trip, here is a list of shared group expenses. This does not include driver and tour guide tips, and is based upon 30 people. These are approximate figures, but we will know more as we get closer to the reunion and know how many people will be attending,    

Museum entry fees and tour guides

Mill City Museum: $10
American Swedish Institute: $13
Vesterheim Museum: $8 adult, $7 senior, $2 children
Nicollet County Historical Society: $6 adult, $5 senior, $4 under 17 yrs.
Swensson Farm Museum: $5 adult, $2 under 17 yrs.
Chippewa County Historic Village: $5 adult, $2 under 17 yrs.

Bus:  $195 per person for entire reunion

Estimated meal costs

Breakfast:  The Quality Inn in Decorah and The Crosssings in Montevideo offer breakfast as part of the room rate. The Commons in Minneapolis does not, but it is served in The Beacon, the hotel's restaurant. Appplebee's next door is also open for breakfast.

Lunch: Smorga at the America Swedish Institute: $23
Lunches at Pinter's Gardens and Pumpkins and the 3rd St. Tavern are expected to cost between $12 - $17. The picnic lunches in Browns Valley and Litchfield should be about $12 each.

In Minneapolis and Montevideo, no group dinners are planned, and everyone will be on their own. Menus from recommended restaurants will be distributed beforehand to help you make your choice. Everyone will be on their own at Nordicfest food stations too.

The costs for the Tuesday Evening Welcome Reception and Sunday Dinner have not yet been determined.
